Quantitative Analysis of Distribution Characteristics of Traditional Villages
in Guilin and Relevant Influencing Factors

Abstract

Abstract: Guilin is the place where the traditional villages of Guangxi gather. These villages have characteristics, such as several well-protected villages, a high degree of gathering, and a great distribution density. This paper studies the spatial distribution of traditional villages in Guilin and relevant influencing factors by adopting geography and statistics theories. First, the spatial distribution characteristics of traditional villages in Guilin are determined via GIS. Then, among natural and cultural factors, the five elements of terrain, climate, economy, population, and transportation are synthetically analyzed by SPSS. Also, the zoning patterns of the areas affected by natural and cultural factors are determined, respectively. Following this, the zoning patterns of areas affected by natural and cultural factors are found. The main map shows the impact factors of traditional villages in Guilin by superposing the two subareas. At the same time, it discusses the quantitative relationship among various influencing factors in each zone.

摘要： 桂林地区是广西传统村落最主要的聚集区，传统村落具有保存数量多、聚集程度高，分布密度大等特点。借助地理学、统计学相关理论，综合分析桂林市域范围内传统村落的空间分布及影响因素。先通过GIS 的技术手段，确定桂林传统村落空间分布特征，后利用SPSS 分析软件，将自然因素、人文因素中地形、气候、经济、人口和交通五大要素进行综合分析，分别找到自然因素、人文因素影响区域的分区形态，将两个分区叠加分析，找到桂林传统村落影响要素的主要区域图，同时探讨各分区内各类影响因素间的定量关系。
