Abstract: "ROMA 20-25: New Life Cycles for the Metropolis" was an exhibition held at the end of 2015 to explore modern metropolis development in the next ten years. Taking the suburb of Rome as a research object, the 24 invited colleges and universities studied the future role delete of the urban fringe. In the study of Grid Tile. 4, the research team from SCUT (South China University of Technology) started with a historical study of the site, maintained the mainly agricultural production mode and residential function, and created a variety of mini-communities to respond to future individual and social life needs. In the final exhibition, the city was presented as an infinity board composed of a community "mahjong", which allowed the participants to join the conversation on the future of the city by "playing mahjong".

摘要： “罗马20-25：大都市新生命周期”展是2015年底进行的一次对未来十年现代大都市发展问题的集中探讨，受邀参展的24所高校以罗马近郊为对象，研究城市边缘在未来的角色与定位。华南理工大学团队在4号格子的研究中，从场地的历史研究入手，保持主要的农业生产方式与居住功能，设计了多种类型的迷你社区，以因应未来的个人与社会生活需要，最终的展览呈现将城市拟作由社区“麻将”构成的无限牌局，让参与者以“搓麻将”的行为加入到关于城市未来的讨论中。
