Abstract: The late Qing Dynasty "Guilin provincial capital map" is the first map of the city of Guilin by using innovative science combined with traditional Chinese methods. Using image analysis and comparison of historical data, the paper corrects some incorrect information about the map overview. Through studying of the figure of urban spatial morphology it prompts to Guilin city evolved understanding of key points.

摘要： 清末《桂林省城图》是目前所见最早用近代科学与中国传统相结合方法进行测量绘制的桂林城市地图，本文通过图像分析及历史资料比对，厘正了几种资料对该图的错误理解，并对该图中反映的城市空间形态进行了探讨，以补充桂林城市演变关键点的认识。
