Abstract: With the development of society and growing cultural self-confidence, peoples' cultural needs are increasing. The exhibition building has received increased attention, and its architectural design has become integrated and multi-functional. Design problems that must be solved are becoming increasingly difficult. The focus of design has shifted from creating a single space to the core of human behavior. The research selects a remodeled exhibition hall as the research object, and two types of single-line circulation patterns are designed for space: aisle pattern and tandem pattern. The data of the audience's behavior is collected using UWB highprecision positioning technology. Personal information is collected via a questionnaire. In the paper, the internal connection between the audience's viewing behavior and exhibition space layout has been explored by analyzing the audience's viewing duration, viewing path, and staying behavior under two different design conditions. It summarizes three principles of small-scale exhibition space designs: flexibility, segmentation, and diversity. It provides a reference for exhibition space design.
