Abstract: This paper emphasizes the necessity of inheriting traditional architectural culture by explicating the social background and historical origin of such inheritance. We investigated the history of South Chinese traditional gardens, the development of Cantonese opera in Xiguan, and the evolution of Cantonese opera spaces throughout history via a case study of Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Art Museum. This paper explains how the museum successfully inherited South Chinese traditional architectural culture and identifies the contemporary construction of the South Chinese traditional garden. Guangzhou Cantonese Opera Art Museum has brought vitality to the revival of the surrounding historical blocks. This is an active exploration of the regeneration of traditional architectural cultures separate from the concept of "fake antiques", and identifies the social and cultural values of this kind of architectural inheritance.

摘要： 通过阐述继承传统建筑文化的社会背景及历史渊源，强调当代继承传统建筑文化的必要性。以粤剧艺术博物馆对岭南传统建筑文化的继承为例，通过对岭南园林历史、西关片区粤剧文脉、粤剧传唱空间演变的历史脉络梳理研究，分析粤剧艺术博物馆采用岭南传统园林形式的合理性，解读粤剧艺术博物馆如何继承岭南传统建筑文化，实现岭南传统园林的当代营造。粤剧艺术博物馆的建成为周边历史街区的复兴注入了活力，这是区别于“假古董”的继承传统建筑文化的积极探索，具有社会价值和文化价值。
