The Spatial Structure of Traditional Garden Corridors and Paths in Landscape Painting

Abstract: A review of views and the free imagination principles of landscape painting forms the basis for "travelling" in the traditional garden. By comparing the spatial form with the traditional Chinese drama space, it can be found that the spatial structure of drama, garden and landscape painting is formed in the "dynamic and static" time combination and time mutual construction. Therefore, the garden can present the same time relationship with the landscape painting. Moreover, under the subtle relationship between the twists and turns of garden corridors and the setting of landscape objects, the time control of "travelling" can be realized, thus forming the spatial structure of a garden.

摘要: 山水画卧游与畅神的绘画法则使传统园林形成“游”的空间;将这种空间形式和中国传统戏剧空间作对比分析,会发现戏剧、园林、山水画的空间结构都在“动-静”的时间组合与时间互构中形成;因此,园林会呈现出和山水画一样时间关系,并在园林廊道1)的曲折与景物的设置之间的微妙关系下,使得“游”的时间控制得以实现,从而形成园林的空间结构。
