Research on the Development Trends in University Planning of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area

Abstract

Abstract: The strategic goal of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area is to become a dynamic, world-class, and international technology and innovation center. An important part of this process is in research and innovation platforms for university planning and talent training in the Greater Bay Area. It is also a key to achieving industrial upgrading as well as original technology development of the Greater Bay Area. Based on a comparative study of the world-famous Three Bay Areas (San Francisco Bay Area, New York Bay Area and Tokyo Bay Area), this study proposes different levels of macro-integration strategies in university planning in the Greater Bay Area. The study found that university development planning should be organized in multi-level and multi-structured architecture. Moreover, knowledge innovation and its application can be unified through the development of high-level university clusters, thus forming a positive interaction between public and school integration in urban spaces. An efficient and comprehensive university planning development model was put forward to bring regional, cultural and aesthetic features of the Greater Bay Area into local university planning.

摘要： 粤港澳大湾区的战略目标是要打造充满活力的世界级城市群和国际科技创新中心。而在此过程中，以大湾区大学规划与人才培养为基础建立的科研创新平台是其中的重要环节，也是大湾区能否实现产业升级并培育原创性科技发展的关键。通过与世界著名的三大湾区(旧金山湾区、纽约湾区和东京湾区）的比较研究，以宏观的大湾区视角为起点，提出高校规划的宏观整体性，应形成多层次多结构的大学集群规划。同时依托高水平大学集群的发展实现知识创新与知识应用的统一，在城市空间上形成城校一体的良性互动格局，并提倡大学高效综合的规划发展模式，实现大湾区高校规划地域特色的文化性和艺术性。
