Abstract: Using Fractal Theory, this paper describes the spatial formation mechanism, analyzes architecture theory of Two Concepts and Three Features, as well as the works of Lingnan architectural school. Architectural fractal theory exhibits self-similarity between the whole and its parts, as well as relationship between repetition, inlaying and similarity of architectural space. The complexity of architectural space can be generated by the iteration of simple spatial units, and later juxtaposed or inlayed according to the functional requirements. The theory of Two Concepts and Three Features emphasizes that architectural design needs to consider the regional climate, environment, culture, and social spirit, which is essentially a self-similarity harmony thinking of fractal iteration.

摘要： 应用分形自相似和迭代理论及其方法，描述建筑空间生成机制，解析“两观三性”建筑理论，以及岭南建筑学派作品，具有量化的科学意义与实用价值。建筑分形体现在整体与局部的自相似性，以及建筑空间和图形的重复、嵌套和相似关系。复杂性的建筑空间可以经过基本的空间单元有限地反复迭代，再根据功能要求进行并置或嵌套组合，就可以构成复杂的建筑形态，其分形成长规则非常简单。从分形思维审视，“两观三性”理论强调建筑设计与地域气候、环境和文化相结合，与时代精神一致，本质属于自相似和谐的分形迭代思想。
