Abstract: The paper interprets and analyzes two pieces of wood carving works which separately describe the scenes of Yangtse River and Pear River, and focuses on their creative methods and their artistic and historical values. Then the paper studies the composition and appreciation of scroll painting style wood carving in traditional dwellings, including the functions of painting as carrier and praiser.

摘要： 通过对现存于湖北、广东的两幅分别描绘武汉三镇江景和广州珠江北岸风情的木雕作品的解读，分析了其创作手法及其艺术、历史价值，并借此研究传统民居中长卷式木雕的构图、审美特性及其“图载”和“画赞”的功能。
